They were born May14th after a wonderful all night party!
The selection process will begin after June 18th, when they are 5 weeks old
They will be 7 weeks old and able to begin going home, after July 2nd.
To help you get to know the pups as they grow, we will post weekly video updates below. Stay tuned for more cuteness overload.
July 15th- Today’s video covers a few different days that we collected some bits of video of.
We hope that letting you see these young puppies with us during our outings to run errands will demonstrate how well you can do during your travels home with your pup. We try really hard to do our part to prepare them for your journey and regularly get wonderful reports back from the families about the success of their puppy trip home. Whether it’s a multi leg flight or a couple days drive home, your pup can do it and so can you. We’re happy to help prepare you for whatever is the right option for you.
Now that these pups are 8 weeks old, they can start going home in all the ways that the families need, so we are getting them ready for anything with flying or driving.
In the first segment of this video, we are running some errands and had some appointments and were gone for about 4 hours from the house. Our truck is puppy travel friendly with air conditioning, insulation and comfortable bedding, plenty of fresh water and treats for the ride.
We start to bring the pups with us anytime that we can do so safely, and responsibly. We call it a “puppy pawrade” when we have all of us to work with and enough pups still around to make quite the entourage. We have 4 airline approved carriers to practice with and this time around, we took 5 pups with us. So we had a pup being carried in our arms too. This gives the pups some excellent conditioning time to some extra sights and sounds of real life. We have a couple of mostly pet friendly stores nearby and we are also very responsible with the pups while we are in the stores.
In the second segment of this video, you’ll find us back at the Pavilion playing bright and early with the sun coming up on Saturday morning. We had 4 appointments for puppies to start going to their families. Some families flew in and were flying home with their pup as a carry on, while other families drove here and were driving home. So we spend at least 1 hour with them playing to help get them tired and ready for being relaxed on their rides home. The pups had a blast and you can tell just how much more confident and smart they have become over the last 2 weeks. While yes, they are still small, they also have big hearts and souls.
In the last segment, we have the sole Miss Dark Pink with us as the last of her litter. She’ll be flying home with her family soon. They will be flying to us and we’ll be meeting them at the airport to hand her off to the new family. We have her with us doing some shopping at the hardware store. This is another chance for her to get used to being without her siblings before her big flight. She did so well on the drive here, without hardly a peep, that we had to keep checking on her in the truck. And she did very well with her short little journey in the different stores via a soft sided carrier.
It’s always exciting to meet the families and feel reassured that the pups are going to people who are prepared for the demands that a puppy requires. We try really hard to screen the families and help them understand the needs of this breed and then prepare them for the future with their pup and support them all the rest of the pups life, in whatever ways we can.
Sorry about the audio issues on this video of the 8 week old pups. I did my best to salvage what I could.
Side note to this photo shoot video- Very few of the photos were satisfactory to me, so it took more to get some photos that I felt did all the pups the justice they deserve.
